Teltrium is a technical services company that provides systems engineering and project execution support and capabilities to satellite communications and spectrum management technology programs for a number of NASA Centers. We’re a small, young company focused on nurturing an agile and innovate team, developing creative and high-quality solutions for our unique customers.

We are seeking upper-level undergraduate or graduate-level students with knowledge of machine learning, deep learning or artificial intelligence. This internship offers a unique combination of on-the-job mentoring and hands-on experience. As an intern at Teltrium you will use your engineering knowledge to help architect complex satellite communications systems through activities such as technical trade studies, feasibility analyses and software development. You will work one-on-one with senior engineers to learn the fundamentals of space communication systems engineering.

Core responsibilities may include:

  • Data analysis activities
  • Research solutions
  • Code and test algorithms

Qualifications

Education: Juniors or above studying towards a Bachelor’s or graduate-level degree in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Math or Physics.

Candidates must have valid U.S. work authorization.

Location / Work Schedule

We are conveniently located in Greenbelt, MD just 10 minutes away from the University of Maryland, College Park campus and 5 minutes away from the College Park stop on the DC Metro Green line for easy access from college and university campus in the greater DC area.

Schedule is to be coordinated and can be worked around class schedule (part-time or full-time); opportunities for extension or renewal of employment offer for fall semester based on performance.

The situation related to COVID-19 in our local area is continually monitored, and appropriate safety precautions are taken as needed to ensure the safety of our employees and office environment.

Preferred Skills

  • Familiarity with Python or R
  • Familiarity with deep learning technologies such as TensorFlow
  • Knowledge of electromagnetics and/or satellite orbital dynamics is nice to have but not a must
