We are seeking Satellite Communications Systems Engineers to join our Spectrum management team. This role combines technical analysis, spectrum coordination, and system planning to ensure successful integration and operation of space communications networks. Core responsibilities include:
- Perform analyses to assess compatibility amongst radio frequency (RF) systems
- Develop slide decks and/or memoranda to summary interference analysis findings, including recommended options to mitigate instances of excessive interference
- Support development and integration of interference modeling and data analysis capabilities
- Support continued maintenance of spectrum requirements and orbital characteristics data for space systems to be used in interference analyses
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Aerospace Engineering, or similar.
Experience: 0-5 years in a relevant industry or projects [applicable internships and undergraduate/graduate coursework will be considered]
Work Authorization: Candidates must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident.
Role / Work Schedule
This is a full-time, on-site position in Greenbelt, MD or Cleveland, OH.
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with radio frequency (RF) and/or optical communications theory
- Knowledgeable in satellite orbital dynamics
- Familiarity in RF interference assessments involving space and/or terrestrial platforms
- Familiarity with coding and scripting for engineering analyses using languages such as MATLAB, Python, and C#
- Proficiency in verbal and written communication
