Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Contract Administrator to support the administration of federal government contracts, with a strong emphasis on FAR compliance, contract documentation, customer coordination, and full contract lifecycle management.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience working with government contracts, including reviewing solicitations, supporting proposal and award activities, administering contract requirements, tracking deliverables, processing modifications, maintaining contract records, and supporting contract closeout. Strong knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) is essential. Experience with DoD contracts, DFARS, NASA or other agency supplements, and subcontract administration is highly desirable.
This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, sound judgment, and the ability to communicate effectively with internal teams, government customers, subcontractors, vendors, and company leadership. Business administration experience is helpful, particularly in a small business or government contracting environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer federal government contracts throughout the full contract lifecycle, including proposal support, award, performance, modifications, and closeout.
- Review solicitations, contracts, task orders, purchase orders, modifications, and subcontract agreements for contractual requirements and compliance obligations.
- Interpret and apply the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), as well as applicable agency supplements such as DFARS, NASA FAR Supplement, or other customer-specific requirements.
- Maintain organized and accurate contract files, records, correspondence, and supporting documentation.
- Track contract deliverables, reporting requirements, periods of performance, funding status, option periods, and key contractual milestones.
- Support preparation, review, and submission of contract-related correspondence, notices, certifications, representations, and other required documentation.
- Assist with the negotiation, review, and administration of contractual terms and conditions with customers, subcontractors, and vendors.
- Support contract modifications, change orders, funding actions, task order updates, and closeout documentation.
- Coordinate with contracting officers, contracting officer representatives, subcontractors, vendors, program managers, and internal stakeholders on contractual matters.
- Support subcontract administration, including subcontract setup, modifications, compliance tracking, documentation, and closeout.
- Support proposal and capture activities by reviewing solicitation requirements, contract clauses, representations and certifications, and compliance matrices.
- Maintain awareness of applicable contract clauses, flow-down requirements, reporting obligations, and customer communications.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Contracts Management, Legal Studies, Public Administration, Finance, or a related field.
- 3 or more years of experience in federal government contract administration.
- Working knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR).
- Experience supporting or administering government contracts, task orders, purchase orders, or subcontract agreements.
- Familiarity with common government contract types, such as Firm Fixed Price, Time and Materials, Labor Hour, Cost Reimbursable, or Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity contracts.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, consistent with the attached format’s emphasis on organization and managing multiple priorities
